LineageOS

Download all required files before you begin. You need the ROM, the legacy-to-dynamic converter, the recommended recovery, and the firmware matching your region and Android version.

Power off your device, then hold Power + Volume Down to enter fastboot mode. Connect to your PC and flash the recommended dynamic recovery you downloaded in step 1. Once flashed, boot directly into recovery — do not boot to system.

Inside recovery, go to Install and select the Legacy2Dynamic ZIP you downloaded in step 1. Swipe to flash. This converts the legacy A/B partition layout to dynamic partitions, which is required for LineageOS. Do not skip this step.

In recovery go to Wipe > Advanced Wipe. Select Dalvik / ART Cache, Cache, Data, and Metadata — then swipe to wipe. This ensures a clean slate before flashing the new ROM.

Go to Install and select the Android 11 firmware ZIP matching your device region (China, Global, India, or Europe) from step 1. Flash it now. This step is required if you are coming from MIUI or an older Android version.

Still in recovery, go to Install and select the LineageOS ROM ZIP you downloaded in step 1. Swipe to flash. Wait for the flash to complete before proceeding.

⚠️ LineageOS ships without Google apps by default. Flash a GApps package (e.g. BiTGApps or MindTheGapps) at this stage if you need Google services. Flash it via Install in recovery before proceeding.

In recovery go to Wipe > Format Data, then type 'yes' to confirm. This fully formats the data partition and is required before first boot into the new ROM.

In recovery navigate to Wipe > Change File System. Change both the Cache and Data partitions to F2FS for better performance and storage efficiency on LineageOS.

Reboot to system and allow the device to boot fully — first boot may take 3–5 minutes. Once booted, power off and boot back into recovery. Go to Wipe > Format Data again and format once more. This second format resolves storage access issues that some apps may experience.

Download the latest LineageOS build for raphael from the official wiki. Dirty flash only works when staying on the same ROM and the same Android version. Do not dirty flash across major version jumps.

Power off your device and boot into your existing dynamic recovery. Go to Wipe > Advanced Wipe and select Dalvik / ART Cache and Cache only. Do NOT wipe Data or System — your apps and personal data will be preserved.

In recovery go to Install and select the new LineageOS ZIP. Swipe to flash over your existing installation. Wait for the flash to complete fully.

⚠️ If you use Google apps, flash your GApps package again after flashing the ROM to ensure all Google apps are updated properly.

Tap Reboot > System. All your apps and data are preserved. First boot after a dirty flash may take a couple of extra minutes. Welcome to the latest LineageOS build!
